The cornerstone of a dynamic workspace, this lovely desk saves space without skimping on style. A perfect pick for contemporary aesthetics, it showcases a clean lined frame crafted from laminate over engineered wood for a budget friendly design. The two open shelves provide a great place to tuck away notepads and sticky notes, while the two lower drawers add space for pens, files, and more.
But I must say that my favorite thing about this shelving unit is the industrial look. It would work well in both modern décor and a more rustic décor as well. Again, the design of these shelves doesn’t appear to be very complicated.
An end table can also be a suitable choice for this type of project. Apply two coats of chalkboard paint to the top of the table and make sure you tape the ends to protect them and to create a clean design. Give the base a new look as well if you want and then display decorations on the table.
Defined by a raw, unfinished, and almost factory like sensibility, an industrial interior style showcases utilitarian materials such as wood, metal, and cement in a way that proves that form and function can be one and the same. Exposed brick, piping, and ceiling beams are just a few industrial giveaways, while stripped floors, visible ducts, and even ship bulkheads have been spotted in editorial loft spreads.
